Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) are the examination techniques used to detect internal or external imperfections and deteriorations without destroying or damaging materials and components. NDI techniques are used as an important way of quality control and cost-effectiveness which benefits the community with its safety of atomic plants, railways, airplanes, bridges, buildings, underground objects, etc. The main methods of inspection include, Visual Testing, Radiographic Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, Eddy Current Testing and Strain Measurement, etc. In recent years, Acoustic Emission and Thermography became used as new ways of inspection. NDI techniques will become more significant in the future for saving resources and protecting the environment for long term use of materials and components effectively.
