Event Concept

NDT NEXT 2027

The International Conference on Non-Destructive Testing for Next Generation 2027 (NDT NEXT 2027) will be held under the theme “Smart and Sustainable Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) through Strategic Synergy.” This conference aims to promote the introduction of cutting-edge technologies in the field of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and foster diverse collaborations to address social challenges. Specifically, we are planning sessions in collaboration with other organizations to create new values, workshops related to certification, education, and standardization, the hosting of domestic and international specialized conferences and meetings with overseas organizations and national associations, and an exhibition.

Smart

We incorporate the latest technologies into NDT, apply them in real-world settings, and contribute to building a safe and secure society. Our efforts focus on promoting digitalization “including machine learning, generative AI, various digital tools, and the use of robots and drones” as well as automation and labor-saving, while strengthening technology development and the establishment of standards and regulations.

Sustainable

We are committed to maintaining and developing technologies that contribute to social safety and security. Our goal is to create a system that organically and efficiently links activities such as academia, standardization, education, and certification.

Strategic Synergy

As social issues become increasingly complex, many problems cannot be solved by inspection technology alone. We strengthen strategic collaboration across different fields, industries, and countries, while respecting diversity, to steadily advance solutions.

Organized byAPFNDT

The Asia Pacific Federation for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) started in 1976 as the Asia Pacific Committee for NDT with the first meeting being held in Tokyo in 1977. APFNDT was established in 2013 and works in collaboration with existing and emerging individual non-destructive testing societies to promote the regional development of the science, technology and practice of non-destructive testing. It currently serves 24 member countries. As part of the wider global organization, the International Committee for Non-Destructive Testing (ICNDT), APFNDT serves and represents the Asia-Pacific regional group.

Hosted byJSNDI

The Japan Society for Non-Destructive Inspection (JSNDI) was established in 1952 under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as an academic research organization promoting non-destructive testing (NDT). Its activities aim to advance research in non-destructive testing technology, educate and certify NDT personnel, promote standardization, and publish books and test specimens. Notably, regarding certification, it maintains one of the world’s largest registries, with over 84,000 certified NDT personnel. In 2027, it will celebrate its 75th anniversary, with a commemorative ceremony planned during NDT NEXT 2027.
